Disability Rights Training

Throughout 2019 young activist Ryan worked with youth organisation MAP to design and deliver a disability rights training package. The training aims to ensure young people with disabilities are educated about their rights, and to better inform organisations who work with young people with disabilities about their professional responsibilities.

The training involves a range of interactive activities and games. Participants can share their own knowledge and experiences around disability rights, and then explore accessibility in their workplace or place of education, inclusive hiring and HR, transport, policing, and education. The package is tailored to the needs of the participating group.

The training has been delivered in a range of setting across Norfolk including to staff from MAP, students at East Coast College, and the Norfolk Police & Crime Commissioner Youth Commission.
Please get in touch if you’d like to find out more or book a training session.
