For young people aged 11-25

From poetry on placards, to songs sung at marches, to poems whispered on picket lines, we’ll discuss how poems are ways of connecting yourself with the world.

Through a mixture of reading and watching Youtube videos, we’ll discover how the small but powerful box of a poem can be a fist clenched in the air; arms locked in unity; and a symbol of hope.

The workshop is free and will be hosted on Zoom. Details of how to access the workshop will be emailed to attendees.

There will be a follow-up session on Thursday April 24th, 15:00-15:45.
