We’re hiring a paid Young Activist!
Hours: 10 hours per week, flexible hours across 7 days per week
Contract: 6 month temporary contract with possible extension for a further 6 months
Location: Based in Norwich with a Norfolk-wide remit to reach young people.
Travel: All travel for work purposes will be reimbursed (excluding journeys to/from workplace). If using your own car, mileage will be reimbursed at 45 pence per mile. Public transport will be reimbursed if required to travel for work purposes.
Salary: £20,495 per annum which equates to £10.65 per hour

You will be a professional point of contact for young activists in Norfolk, supporting them in their development of campaigns to succeed in encouraging others to speak up, to participate and to take a lead in social change. You will be provided with the resources required to lead and implement effective campaigns in achieving desired outcomes for young people.
Our ideal candidate will be passionate and enthusiastic about developing and mobilising campaigns for social justice affecting young people. We strongly encourage applicants with strong communication skills, willingness to undertake training and able to work flexible hours to meet the demands of the campaigns and the young activists you will be working alongside.
In order to be a Young Activist leader on the YAN you must be aged 18 up to aged 26 years. The YAN is run by young people, for young people therefore it essential that applicants are under aged 26 to lead our activist work and develop the organisation alongside peers.
